At this Exhibition each tour operator or destination was provided the opportunity to present within 17 minutes the best of the specific products and the new routes offered.
66 countries and 700 real professionals from the adventure tourism industry took part in ATWS this year. This forum is considered as the most important in the world with regard to the presentation of specialized forms of tourism. The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) defines adventure tourism as the fastest growing form of tourism. It has great potential and importance, because responsible tourism is in addition to everything else offered.
Adventure tourism is a unifying definition of outdoor activities, forms of cultural tourism in preserved nature with a special focus on the local communities, the traditions kept and the authenticity of the destinations.
