The new logo and slogan will promote Bulgaria as an attractive tourist destination. This has become clear during the official presentation of the new brand "Bulgaria". The visual elements include the range of competitive advantages of Bulgaria as a tourist destination. The main element is the sun with a rose, the sea, mountains and elements of the cultural heritage around it.
We already have the first positive evaluations by the business of the strategy of the brand as a whole, said the Deputy Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Ivo Marinov, expressing hope that the new symbols will make our country competitive and recognizable among foreign tourists. With the introduction of the new brand strategy it is expected the number of tourists visiting our country to increase by 25% in 5 years.
Apart from the national logo and slogan, ten sub-brands have been developed for the different types of tourism, as well as a brand of the Trakia region.
In the course of development of the new brand "Bulgaria" surveys have been carried out among Bulgarian and foreign tourists and tour operators in 11 countries. The analysis of the results shows that 90% of the foreigners are satisfied with their stay in our country, and 80% are willing to visit it again.
The first official premiere abroad of the new tourism logo and slogan "A Discovery to share" will be in March in Germany at the international exhibition ITB in Berlin. Its active introduction with massive advertising on 12 markets will begin in September 2013, announced Anelia Genova, Director of the Marketing, Advertising and Tourism Information Department of the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism.
The access to the brand will be free after a registration on an online platform which will be started on the 6th of March.
