Sofia – Veliko Tarnovo – Arbanasi

The route can be completed within 3 or 4 days. It is intended for an automobile or organized bus transport. The starting point is the city of Varna or the resorts: St. Konstantin and St. Elena, Slanchev Den (Sunny Day), Zlatni Pyasatsi (Golden Sands), Albena, the town of Balchik, Rusalka, the town of Kavarna or the city of Ruse. Accommodations are performed in the town of Veliko Tarnovo or Arbanasi. In the town visitors will have the opportunity to visit the Architectural and Historical Reserve “Tsarevets”, the Archaeological Museum, the church “Holy Forty Martyrs”, the Patriarch Monastery “St. Trinity”, the Museum “Revival of Constituent Assembly”, the Nunnery, and the Regional History Museum. Within 1 day from Veliko Tarnovo there is an option for visiting the Kilifarevski Monastery, the Plakovski Monastery, the Kapinovski Monastery, the Dryanovski Monastery, the Bacho Kiro cave, the ancient town of Nove, the medieval town of Cherven, the Ivanovski Rock Churches, the rock monastery “St. Dimitar Basarbovski”, the city of Ruse, the town of Tryavna, the Archaeological and Historical Reserve “Bozhentsi”, the Batoshevski Monastery, the Education Museum, the town of Gabrovo, the Museum “Home of Humor and Satire”, the Architectural and Ethnographic Complex “Etara”, the Sokolski Monastery, Shipka Peak, Nikopolis ad Istrum, the Tomb of Tsar Sevt – Golyamata Kosmatka, the Tomb in the Ostrusha Mound.
