Dear friends, we are pleased to invite you to the official presentation of the first solo exhibition “SKY SEA” by the talented artist Yordan Achev. The opening will take place on 1st of March 2024. /Friday/ from 12:00 am in Hall 1 of the Tsveta Shumanova Art Gallery, Velingrad, 7 Vasil Aprilov St.
Yordan Achev was born in Dimitrovden in 1967 in Sofia city. Velingrad and the family values of the family roots have woven deep roots into the artist’s consciousness, upbringing, and present. It is a symbiosis of exact sciences, artistry, creativity, and curiosity. He is an artist by profession, a creative innovator, and a traditionalist at the same time, bordering on conservatism.
He obtained a master’s degree in engineering, majoring in “Industrial Management” at the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and a sound engineer /sound director/ at the State Institute of Cinema and Television, St. Petersburg, Russia.
For over 20 years, he has illustrated about 200 lead-tin alloy sculptors with a size of 64 mm /lead soldiers/. Since 2013, he has made over 100 pencil drawings, over 150 oil painting canvases, and 17 polymer clay sculptures artistically treated with oil. In 2023, he participated in a competition on the theme “Contemporary Bulgarian Art” at the Vivacom Art Hall Sofia Gallery, 5 Oborishte. He worked on numerous commissions from private collectors.
From 1st of March to 30th of March 2024. you have the unique opportunity to enjoy the exhibition and purchase an original work of the artist.
