Тhe Valley of Roses Tourist Region

The “Valley of Roses” tourism region is located south of the Balkan Mountains and encompasses the South Balkan valleys and Sredna Gora (with the Valleys of Karlovo and Kazanlak) to the East where its borders are delineated by the Municipality of Sliven.

The Valley of Roses Tourism Region includes 19 municipalities – Anton, Zlatitsa, Karlovo, Koprivshtitsa, Mirkovo, Panagyurishte, Pirdop, Sopot, Strelcha, Hisarya, Chavdar, Chelopech, Gurkovo, Kazanlak, Maglizh, Nikolaevo, Pavel Banya, and Sliven. The seat of the Management Organization of the Region is in the town of Kazanlak.

This tourist region develops mainly health and cultural tourism. Other types of tourism developed in the tourist area are balneo, SPA and wellness tourism; cultural-historical and festival tourism; adventure and ecotourism; mountain hiking and recreational tourism and wine tourism.
